    • david: the Motel owner was a really obliging chap who couldn't do enough for us! He even came out in the morning to farewell and congratulate us on our achievements. If you are ever staying in gore we would highly recommend his motels- Esplanade Motels on the main street coming in to Gore. The ride to Ingill was taken via the back roads and pace was steady but still allowed us to chat and celebrate our achievement. Our last coffee stop was at the Zookeepers in Ingill. Then on to Bluff and due to some savvy canvassing and negotiating by Geoff it was agreed we would ride up the Bluff hill! We all made it in varies states of pain but we all 'took our hats off' to Neil who climbed it in his BIG chainring!!!!!! He had ridden the whole Tour in the big ring and he wasn't going to let a mere 22 percent gradient get the better of him! The noises coming out of him weren't for the faint hearted to hear, but he made it!! Neil you are a bloody legend!!

    • Mark W: No pictures from the top of Bluff Hill seem to have come through yet?
    • david: We rode to the southern most point in formation and were welcomed by family and friends. We had achieved what we had set out to do. Ride from Cape Reinga to Bluff. It is an achievement that will bond us for life and the experiences we had along the way will not be forgotten. We would really like to thank our Spouses, partners and families for giving us the freedom to fulfill our 'Bucket List'. To those of you that have followed us via this website a big thanks for your support. And to you Rod, from the all of us who rode the Grand tour 2014 we couldn't have done it without you. I believe we will be in the ODT in the next day or two so look out for a picture and article.
